This course is absolutely brilliant! Stuart is a genius, he has broken down every section into detail and given examples of what both the teacher needs to know as well as what he would tell the students. For each section there is a short video clip with the main discussion points. Included within the package are walk thru's which are brilliant and this gives you the confidence as a teacher to be able to deliver this unit. My students particularly enjoyed creating their own fictitious businesses after reading about the suggestion in this course and as a result got a better understanding of the marketing part of the unit. If you are sat there thinking I don't know where to begin with this unit, or just need some additional guidance/reassurance you are on the right lines this is honestly the best thing you can do! It is worth every penny! I signed up half way through delivering the unit after getting stuck for ideas and instantly felt like a weight was lifted from my shoulders as I had a way to check I was delivering the right sort of thing!

Meet Stuart

Your teacher on this course

PETutor Stuart Maddock

Stuart is a highly experienced teacher and teacher trainer, who is passionate about helping students maximise their potential and achieving success. He has worked in educational settings in the UK and abroad for over twenty five years and was a head of Physical Education for fifteen years. Passionate about student success, teacher learning and development, he was until recently head of academic Physical Education at a large school in the south west of England, where he is now Director of Educational Technology. Stuart has an M.Ed from the Institute of Education, University College London, focusing on teaching and learning and technology in education and he has a qualification in Effective Online Tutoring from Oxford University. He also holds the Level 5 CIPD Diploma in Learning and Development. He has held the position of e-learning co-ordinator and head of learning and thinking at previous schools and is a prominent practitioner and leader of digital learning at his current school. When he is not working, Stuart enjoys spending time with his family and friends, learning Japanese and scuba diving.
